I had met with this family only two months prior to this event and helped them protect their entire family.
I was only 23 at the time, and it hit me pretty hard. When the mother cried tears of relief because she knew she would be able to pay for her daughter’s funeral, I knew why I was here. I knew it was my duty to help protect other families just like theirs.

Modern Woodmen has awarded college scholarships to young members since 1969.
This high school graduate received $16,000 toward her higher education expenses. There’s always stiff competition for these scholarships. I was excited to be able to present this benefit to her, which was made possible because I helped her become a Modern Woodmen member.
My first sales conference was in beautiful Hawaii. From my first evening there, I felt like I was on a trip with friends and family. I knew then my goal would be to earn the trip every year.
Reaching your own success is rewarding. Watching someone else you’ve introduced to the business reach his or her success is incredible!
This was my biggest transition. Now I’m building a legacy. I’m able to help others reach all the milestones I was able to experience in my own career. What an amazing opportunity!
