Modern Woodmen of America financial representative Amanda Denney has received the Fraternal Excellence Award.

The award is one of the organization’s highest honors. It is presented annually to the financial representative who demonstrates outstanding dedication to members, community service and Modern Woodmen’s fraternal mission.
Fraternalism makes Modern Woodmen unique. Representatives of the fraternal financial services organization make an impact in local communities through member benefits and programs that offer financial support and social, educational and volunteer opportunities.
Amanda has made it her life’s work to show up for others. Growing up, her family received help from organizations that support families through difficult times. Today, she creates opportunities for others through service projects, community partnerships and chapter events.
Amanda’s commitment to service extends throughout her community. She has organized Make a Difference Day, helped transform her town’s Christmas parade into Light the Night, partnered with local organizations on fundraisers and coordinated community beautification efforts. These activities have strengthened connections among residents while expanding Modern Woodmen’s impact.

“My involvement in the community is intentional, consistent and hands-on,” Amanda said. “I believe community impact comes from being willing to stand in the gap wherever needs arise. I make it a priority to ensure Modern Woodmen is known as the organization that people can count on.”
Modern Woodmen also named Barbara Coats of Starkville, Mississippi, and Matt Bennett of Winona, Mississippi, as finalists for the Fraternal Excellence Award.
