Robert C. Pollex, Perrysburg, Ohio, and William D. “Bo” Keltner, Jackson, Tennessee, have retired from Modern Woodmen of America’s Board of Directors. Keltner will continue to serve in his role as regional director in western Tennessee.

Brett M. Van, Coal Valley, Illinois, has been appointed to fill Keltner’s board position.

Van joined Modern Woodmen in 1993 in the Agency Department. He transferred to the Investment Department in 1994, serving as a securities analyst and portfolio manager, public bonds, before being promoted to manager of fixed income in November 2011. He was named Treasurer & Investment Manager in 2015 and was appointed Chief Investment Officer & Treasurer in 2017.

Brett earned LOMA/LIMRA’s Leadership Institute Fellow designation in 2014, and he also holds Chartered Financial Analyst; Fraternal Insurance Counsellor; and Fellow, Life Management Institute designations.

The board is reviewing candidates for Pollex’s position and plans to announce the new board member in early 2019.

Founded in 1883, Modern Woodmen touches lives and secures futures. The fraternal financial services organization offers financial products and fraternal member benefits to individuals and families throughout the United States.
