My name is … Landon Murray.
I’m from … East Moline, Illinois. I was born and raised in the Quad Cities, Modern Woodmen’s home office community.
My family includes … my mother, father, older sister, and several aunts and uncles. I have a pretty big extended family.
Something not found on my resume … I love to DJ (disc jockey). It’s been a hobby of mine since I was 14.
In a nutshell, my job is to … provide assistance to Modern Woodmen members and financial representatives across the country. I’m a service representative in Modern Woodmen’s Service Center. We fulfill member requests, such as processing premium payments, sending out checks, and explaining in detail the products our members have with us and how they work.
What Modern Woodmen means to me … Modern Woodmen is truly a blessing in my life. The people I work with. The way our managers and supervisors really value us as employees. The longevity. People who work in the home office stay because it’s such a great place to work. I can truly say I look forward to coming to work daily, and I plan to put in 30 years (only 28 more to go)!
A moment I felt really good about my job … I feel good about my job daily. As part of the Service Center, I’m able to help people understand certain things they may not have known about their products. I’m able to make their day better and lift their spirits just by being courteous. It’s a great, rewarding feeling!
