I’m from … Bettendorf, Iowa.
My family includes … my wife, Karen, and two children, Zach and Bri.
A personal passion of mine is … music. I’ve played the saxophone since fourth grade, and I picked up the guitar when I was in high school.
In a nutshell, my job is to … provision, install, configure and maintain systems hardware and software. Some of the environments I help support include the virtual server infrastructure, windows server environment, storage area network and the enterprise backup strategy. My team is also responsible for maintaining systems hardware, software and infrastructure at Modern Woodmen’s disaster recovery site.
To me, Modern Woodmen is … more than just a fantastic place to work. It’s an organization with an outward focus. I appreciate the way Modern Woodmen gives back to local communities by providing educational, social and volunteer programs to meet local needs throughout the country.
Modern Woodmen cares equally about its employees. It’s a great place to work because of the people, the work environment and the fantastic benefits. (The view of the Mississippi River is pretty nice too!)
I feel really good about my job when … I can save the day for fellow home office employees. I enjoy the reactions I receive when files, folders or systems that people once believed were gone forever have been recovered. It’s the day-to-day interactions that make me feel good about my job at Modern Woodmen.
